Georgia Paddling Information:
Here's a list a paddling resources and information I am accumulating.
If you have some information you would like me to add, please
let me know.
I tend to be interested in smooth water paddling, so the resources
here are biased toward that activity.
Georgia State Parks
Many Georgia State Parks
have canoes that are available for rent.
Look for parks with lakes for casual canoeing. Parks on rivers tend to
have more challenging paddling conditions (currents and such).
Suwannee River Guides (Day Trips)
If you are interested in day canoe trips on the lower Suwannee River,
You can call Marty Johnson who runs Oke Trailmasters at 912-637-5163.
He has about 20 canoes and can accommodate large groups.
Altamaha Coastal Tours
Altamaha Coastal Tours is located in Darien Georgia. They rent equipment
and provided guided tours of the surrounding area.
